Affligem Church is somewhat overshadowed by the magnificent abbey that is not far down the road, however it is still a historically significant piece of architecture. Many hundreds of years old, the old church is a reflection of the piety of the people of the community, who built the church themselves, raising a great deal of the money from public subscription.
