Albert 1st Place is the centre of the lower city and one of the most interesting and vibrant parts of Charleroi. It is flanked by beautiful buildings that are of various ages and has a selection of fine shops around it, not to mention numerous cafes and restaurants. These are great places to relax and get your bearings when you first arrive in the city.
