The castle is the most impressive attraction in the town, standing at the very heart of the community in a raised position that overlooks the town. The original part of the castle dates back to the 8th Century and since that time there has always been a place of fortification in the middle of Bouillon. At night the castle is well lit and looks amazing against the night sky.
