During the 19th Century, Brussels continued to bloom as a cultural and artistic capital in Europe, producing some of the finest painters and sculptors anywhere on the continent. Meunieur was an accomplished painter and sculptor whose work steadily became recognised not only in Belgium, but across the world. A great many of his pieces have been collected together in this fine museum.
