Although only a small fragment of rampart, this piece of town wall is one of the oldest and most precious examples of its type anywhere in the region. Thought to have been part of the original Gallo-Roman fortification, it is unusual to see something quite this old and well preserved, even in a fragmented form, anywhere in public in Belgium.
