It is thought that a church has stood on this site at the heart of the community since the 11th Century. The current building appears to be primarily from the 16th and 17th Century and is a good looking piece of architecture that stands tall amongst the mainly low lying buildings of the area. Serving more than one village, the church has remained popular and well used to this day.
