Constantin Meunier is one of the best know sculptures to have practised in Belgium and has a great deal of connections to the city of Charleroi. These two exceptional pieces are some of the best loved in the city, and real treats, because it is rare that you see quite such brilliant art in the streets of a major city. They are based on the Baudouin Bridge and called the ‘The Miner’ and ‘The Steelworker’, reminders of the industrial history of the city.
