This museum is dedicated to the long tradition of a standing army in this country. At one time the Belgians actually controlled a significant amount of the world, having an empire that spanned parts of Africa and the Middle East. The army of the country was important and represented the strength of the nation on a world stage. The museum looks into the way that the army and the military has changed and developed in time.
