The parish church is dedicated to the men of the sea, and like many churches that are situated close to the coast in Europe, has a dominating spire that is the last thing sailors will see as they leave and the first thing as they arrive over the horizon. The beautiful church is well decorated both outside and in, making for one of the proudest monuments of the people of the town.
