Christoffel Plantjin was a well known printer, one of the forefathers of the printing movement in Europe, and helped to revolutionise the way that people communicated. He lived in Antwerp from around 1549 and helped to make cottage house printing into a large scale operation. This museum is dedicated to the man and his work, following the story from beginning to the way that we are affected by his processes still today.
