The River Meuse flows through the heart of the community and is wide at the point where it comes into the town. The large confluence has historically been an important route for transport and trade for the town, and for the many surrounding communities. In recent times, the river has been used more by pleasure cruisers, and offers a great path for walkers to follow and lap up the interesting surroundings.
