The Roman community that was based in this area of Belgium was significant. It would have possibly been larger than the modern town that stands here now. These Roman Baths are a good example of the solidity of the community that was in place. Well preserved in places, it is interesting to see such an institution of the Roman Empire in the Belgian countryside.
