The town hall is probably the most recognisable and well loved municipal building in the community and has a dominant place at the heart of town. Built in the mid 19th Century, it has a strong central façade that has been gilded from local stone. A place of administration, on occasions the hall opens its doors to the public for exhibitions of local interest.
