Located to the right side of the cathedral, there is a small park, called Abbey park, which is dedicated to the many who lost their lives in the infamous bombing raids of 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge. The beautiful little green area has been well planted and is a quiet place of contemplation and reflection that people choose to sit in all year around.
