The story of the bells of the town start in the early 15th Century when the first records are noted of a delivery of bells. It is thought that most of the early bells in the tower were brought in by barge from Amsterdam. The fantastic series of musical instruments have been through a great deal, and barely survived the two world wars to be here today.
