The Chateau was constructed in the 16th Century and dominates the locality, a masterpiece of military design. Much of the town developed in order to serve the needs of the nobility and the chateau, and at one point this was an important military position in the lowlands. Admire the excellent stone work and masonry on the chateau walls, and imagine what life would have been like many hundreds of years ago.
