Built in 1865, the Church of the Assumption is the most obvious religious building in the community, standing at the heart of the town. The tall orange structure is a real masterpiece of design, and a typical sight in an area that has been influenced not only by the French, but by the Germans when it has come to building work. It is well worth a look inside at the detailed carvings.
