Situated close to Lille Gate, the Gatekeeper’s House is the place where the attacks of the British forces to liberate the city by the British in 1917 were planned from. A beautiful piece of architecture and a massively important social and military place, the hall is accessible from street level and is well worth a look to experience some of its fine history.
