The Old Hall of Gretedar has served in many different capacities during its time of standing in the centre of the community. Once the town hall and head of administration, and at another time the prison for the town, it has been modifies internally on many occasions. The original structure was constructed in 1601, but it was transformed in 1727, and is now used as a small exhibition centre.
