The 13th Century cloth hall would have stood in the Korenmarkt, which at that time would have been the most important square in the city. Today it still remains one of the best loved public spaces and is surrounded by a series of beautiful facades and buildings that range from the 17th Century to the 19th Century. The square is a good place to start a walking tour of the city.
