The Maison Communale has been the centre of administration in the town since 1852, and is a good looking and impressive piece of architecture. Styled typically as most municipal buildings of this standing were in these days, it exhibits the best of the designs that were being explored by the Belgians, a group of people who have always led the way in architecture.
