The Municipal Hall is the most common name for what is officially the Nieuwpoort Grain Hall, standing at the heart of the market square. The fine old building has its roots in a trading hall that stood on this spot since 1280. Although at one point it housed a selection of museums, today generally the hall is used as a temporary exhibition hall.
