Built in 1874, the main church of the community is a symbol of the town, towering above the secular surroundings. It was the work of eminent architect P. Buyck and the work is considered to be one of the finer churches in the locality both inside and out. Inside the church contains a great many pieces of religious treasure, including stained glass and fantastic wooden carvings.
