St. Francis’ Church dates from around 1861 in its present form, but there are historical records of a church standing on this site in the early 17th Century. The church is known for having one of the most ornate choirs and a fantastic altar, much larger than one would expect to see in a church of this size. There are several excellent frescoes on the interior walls.
