Saint Martin’s Church is located across the market square and its pointed tower really catches the eye from many parts of the city’s streets. The main part of the church dates back to the second half of the 13th Century, although many additions were made until the 17th Century. The tower contains forty nine bells, and within the building are artworks by famous Flemish painters.
