St. Vedastus was named after the Bishop of Arras who once defeated and killed a fierce bear that tried to ravage the area. The present form of the church is thought to have stood since 1820, although there has been a chapel or place of worship on this site since the 11th Century. The current neo-Classical structure is simple yet delightful in its detail.
