The Vredegerecht is the Justice of the Peace Court and is an impressive piece of architecture at the heart of the community. Designed by Lille based architect Gombert in the 18th Century, the building is one of the more imposing in this area. It is a work of great beauty and although no longer is used as a court, is still a structure that commands respect.
