The Alfons Blomme Museum is named after one of the most famous residents of the city, who was an eminent painter and winner of the Rome Award in 1920. The exhibition centre is open throughout the year and hosts a variety of events, mainly art related. There are shows by local artists and larger exhibitions by more famous people at different times.
