Once this building was a municipal school for girls, designed by locally influential architect PJ Taeymans. The complex is built in a neo-Classical design and was taken over by the local art school in the early 1970s. Today, the centre is open to public exhibitions on a regular basis to exhibit the works of the fine students who train here.
