The Baliff’s Residence was built in 1617 by order of Pieter Goudenhoofd, the bailiff of the locality. The brilliant piece of 17th Century architecture is extremely well preserved and offers an insight into how things may have worked in the community many moons ago. The Renaissance chimney is a particular treat for fans of architecture.
