De Groen 62 is a disused railway that was originally opened in 1867 to carry train traffic between Oostende and Tornhout. There were once railway stations around every three kilometres on the line, some of which still remain. The last train travelled along the line in 1963, and in 1984 the rails were removed and this was turned into a cycling route offering great views.
