De Nachtwacht Huis is considered by many to be one of the most impressive pieces of architecture anywhere in the city. Originally the building was constructed to accommodate the keepers of deer and their stock during the cold nights, the building has been used for many purposes. The reason it attracts such attention is the magnificent faced which is colourful and beautiful, dating from the 17th Century.
