The Hotel Brittanique is a grand piece of architecture at the very centre of the city. It was always a good looking building that attracted attention, but is particularly famous because of its role in the First World War. It was used as a headquarters by the German Kaiser in these times, and still retains some of the changes and marks that were left by the military leader.
