The Kazand Mill was constructed in 1813 on the point where a 1773 wooden oil extraction mill had been erected. In 1944 the mill became a listed and protected piece of national heritage and is now well visited from across the world. There was a massive fire in 1954 that meant that the building has to be almost completely restored.
