Sculpted by the eminent artist and sculptor Jean Godart, Le Maca is positioned close to the town hall. Although not a massive statue, it is one of the most important pieces in the entire city and is very close to the people of the community’s heart. It is a symbol of the freedom of the city and an adolescent hero who sums up all that the people hold true.
