Saint Vith was an important marketplace from the 14th Century onwards and has therefore enjoyed a rather strange city status since that time, regardless of the fact it is very small. This market square is still the centre of the community, just as it has been for hundreds of years. It is surrounded by some of the most historic and good looking buildings in the area.
