This monument to the fallen is a poignant reminder of the many men that dies during the great conflicts of the 20th Century in this area. Belgium was ravaged by both world wars and particularly in the First World War; the fighting took place on the ground close to many of the communities that stand in this region. Those who fought for freedom will never be forgotten.
