Victor Horta designed the building in which the Museum of Fine Arts stands. He was of course one of the most famous architects in the country and the creator and first major pioneer of the Art-Deco movement. There are a great many fine paintings on display in the collection which range from Belgian masters to works by artists from across the globe.
