The River Meuse is one of the largest and most important in the country and flows right through the heart of the town. The massive confluence has been an important source of trade over the years, and although no longer really serving in that capacity remains dear to the hearts of the locals. It offers some excellent guided walks through the town and out into the stunning countryside.
