Saint Francis Church was designed by the eminent designer and architect Steenbergen and construction was finished in 1965. It is one of several examples of excellent 20th Century church building that have gone on in this city. The sandstone facades and flat roof between to half circle buildings have made this a recognisable and iconic symbol of the modern city.
