The Villa de la Reine Marie Henriette is one of the most famous buildings in the city. It was the home of the wife of Belgium’s second king Leopold II. In the past the house has been home to law courts and the police office. It stands out as an outstanding and quite rightly regal piece of architecture, typical of the majestic style of early Belgian design.
