Of course today we take for granted that running water is part of our everyday life, but this water tower really changed peoples existence in the city when they were still drawing water from wells and the river. Built in the first few years of the 20th Century the thirty eight meter high water tower is a listed monument and is the only remaining piece of its type in Flanders.
